Job Description

Job summary

To oversee the technical issues and daily operation of King’s Park and Tin Shui Wai Pitch to ensure smooth operation and the condition of facilities are in good working order.

 

 

Specific responsibilities

• manage the daily operations, maintenance, improvement works and venue management of King’s Park and Tin Shui Wai Pitch;

• responsible for the pitch maintenance to ensure the required standards can be achieved;

• provide supports on the events and all related preparation works;

• evaluate and oversee the quotation process for purchasing goods or service and make recommendations;

• provide engineering supports on the planning, coordination, management and maintenance on existing properties;

• responsible for contract management, including the review of work programme, cost estimation, cash flow and final account throughout the maintenance and improvement works projects;

• monitor and control approved budgets of maintenance/improvement works for ensuring projects completion within time and budget;

• carry out facilities inspection regularly for monitoring on statutory compliance;

• develop the planned and preventive maintenance programmes on an annual basis;

• maintain updated standard and monitor the license renewal status;

• carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting;

• responsible for appropriate stocks of materials or tools as required;

• attend emergency calls, shift duty and during adverse weather as required;

• conduct risk assessment and prepare action plans to rectify safety and non-compliance risks on a timely basis;

• set up contingency plans, emergency procedures and drills;

• responsible for maintaining and filing the documents including the engineering drawings and contract documents of related works and projects;

• assist General Manager Facilities to establish continuous improvement plan for the workflow of daily operation;

• perform duties in support of and as assigned by General Manager Facilities

 

The ideal candidate

  • Degree holder or above in Building Services/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Facilities Management/Building Studies/Building Surveying;
  • Minimum 7 years work experience with at least 4 years at supervisory level in renovation, fitting out, A&A works and building maintenance projects;
  • Previous experience in sport facilities/turf maintenance/venue management is an advantage;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Holder of Grade A or above of Registered Electrical Worker;
  • Less experience will be considered as Assistant Facilities Manager (Technical);
  • Immediate available is preferred.
