As a Analytical Exhaust Technician your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform outdoor stack testing and indoor laboratory analysis.
  • Learn and master multiple Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defined methods for stack testing (M1, M2, M5, M13B, M202, and others).Become an expert in Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and flame ionization detector (FID) real-time gas analysis, perform ion chromatography analysis of water samples, understand abatement equipment testing methods and procedures, monitor chemical processes and testing equipment as part of quality assurance.
  • Work in the team to perform repetitive testing activities in outdoor and indoor environments, such as moving and setting up test equipment in scrubber yards and subfab, preparing equipment and supplies for different tests, and working up collected samples.
  • Prepare standards and samples, calibrate instruments, maintain the highest standards of quality control and lab techniques.
  • Keep records.
  • Become familiar with clean sample preparation, contamination control, and quality assurance.
  • Perform routine maintenance on analytical equipment, as well as troubleshooting, with minimum supervision.
  • Support complex emissions tests, in outdoor and indoor settings, including equipment preparation, moves, setup, data collection, and teardown and post-test cleanup/recovery.
  • Use various pieces of analytical equipment such as ion chromatography instruments, FTIR and FID analyzers, isokinetic consoles, work with engineering to develop special-purpose test methods needed for equipment troubleshooting.
  • Assist engineering in assessment and improvement of process health and test method performance.
  • Perform assignments that are semi-routine and require a wide array of laboratory techniques and skills.
  • Work from technical documents, design layout, written Best Known Methods (BKMs), and/or verbal directions to complete tasks in assigned areas.
  • Maintain necessary records and reports. Perform other related duties as required or as directed.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties based on work plans and following documented procedures.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least 1 of the following:

  • Associate's degree in Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical field or related.
  • Military service with 2+ years of work experience in the Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical field or related.
  • 3+ years of work experience in the Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical field or related in lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Knowledge of:

  • How to use all hand tools, power tools, and test equipment used in the area.
  • Statistical methods, including Statistical Process Control.
