Facilities Officer / Senior Technician (Ref: 20000UZ)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

• Providing support in the implementation of works, projects, building maintenance and modification works;
• Supervising direct labour or contractors employed on the execution of any projects, and repair and maintenance works/projects of the University;
• Following up on the work progress of any jobs, works, projects and related matters as per supervisors’ instructions or as requested by end users; and
• Liaising with end users and coordinating with other working parties in carrying out monitoring and checking for works, projects, defect rectification, and any other jobs/projects assigned; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

• A recognized Diploma or equivalent in Construction discipline, Building Services, Facilities management or a related area, with at least 2 years practical experience in the industry after qualification, preferably in building services area;
• Ability to work independently, to follow up on issues proactively and to handle a complex, varied workload;
• Good interpersonal skill with servicing mindset; and
• Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese (Putonghua is a plus) as well as computer skills.

Candidates may be invited to attend a trade/written test.

Compensation Package

Competitive compensation package including basic salary, end-of-contract gratuity and discretionary incentive (if any) will be offered to the right candidate.
