Eaton’s Commercial and Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS) Division is currently seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Lincoln, IL facility. Relocation assistance will be provided. Position Overview: The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for directing the personnel, repair and maintenance of existing equipment, building and grounds. They will also direct activities in new equipment installations and building and grounds modification, while leading a large team of hourly technicians. The Lincoln facility is a flagship plant within our Electrical Sector manufacturing electrical power distribution devices for residential and light commercial customers. In this function you will: Direct the maintenance, repair of plant equipment, wastewater plant, boiler room, machines, buildings and grounds and manages preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and the work order system to improve OEE recommendations alongside maintaining all necessary maintenance records. Establish relationships with outside vendors for building additions, equipment support, installation together with proactive and reactive maintenance. Assure that all contractors comply with OSHA/NEC/EPA/NFPA 70E and Eaton safety policies and that insurance certificates are on file. Manage budget, forecast plan (personnel, equipment, and space requirements) and establish relationship with planning to maintain inventory and repair parts for equipment and machines. Responsible for the hiring of maintenance personnel to meet organizational goal. Evaluate new employees and oversees the training and onboarding of new employees, apprentices and trainees including performance reviews, appraisals and discipline recommendations. Assist in training (both internal and external) and curriculum development for maintenance personnel Establish relationships with OEE’s, SME, Tech services, internal and external customers on providing maintenance strategies, updates, timelines, and stay up to date with “state of the art” equipment and maintenance techniques. Participate in understanding and adhering to Federal, State and Local regulations, ensuring that equipment, processes and grounds meet all requirements. Initiate safety review on personnel, new and old processes and/or equipment with strict adherence to safety and quality protocols including but not limited to ISO 14001 and 9001 standards. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited institution OR military experience required Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, facilities management and/or maintenance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering from an accredited institution Experience working in a manufacturing environment and unionized setting Project management Planning and Forecasting experience is an advantage Position Criteria: Strong knowledge in the electrical and mechanical fields, codes and drawings interpretation, equipment, and machine design, building and plant maintenance techniques Knowledge in pneumatic, hydraulic, motor controls, PLC systems, structural and architectural matters is helpful. Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA and EPA requirements is required.
