Job Description
Position Overview Siemens Digital Industries Process Automation is looking for a dynamic, experienced financial professional to lead our Gas Chromatographs and System Integration (GCI) business for the United States. This business is undergoing a significant, yet exciting, reinvention as we optimize factories, logistics, and go to market strategies. We are heading towards an exciting future driven by digitalization of our own processes, improved time to market through product and solution optimization, and continued strong alliance relationships with our customers. The ideal person for this position will lead the US business towards that future working in a matrixed organization. The position will work closely with global management and local US management teams as business alliance partners. The US Sub-Segment Financial Controller will report the into Global Measurement Intelligence Finance GCI head within Process Automation and is responsible managing the US financials of the business, located in Houston, TX. This position will play an integral role redefining the business model for the Gas Chromatographs and Integration group and driving profitability. Responsibilities of US Head of Finance GCI business: Responsible for the US finance functions including commercial project management, and order management. Responsible for US P&L, balance sheet, and cash performance, including all finance related activities, risk management and accuracy of books & records. Drive US business results by pro-actively identifying opportunities for business process and financial improvements and ensuring timely execution. Serve as close advisor and Business Partner to the Sub-Segment Head and the Global Financial Head in all questions related to US financial performance, financial risk management, and compliant business operations while executing business strategy. Work with the Sub-Segment Head and in alignment with the Global Financial Head to develop the US strategic plan to optimize the footprint and the portfolio of the business and improve profitability Work closely with operations management to ensure continuous improvement in all US manufacturing, logistics and customer support processes and high reliability in all delivery KPI’s. Work closely with the sales management to ensure adequate support in bid development and LOA processes and to help steer profitable, capital efficient growth. Support all business functions with financial planning, reporting and analysis, as well as state-of-the-art IT infrastructure & tools to ensure business continuity and drive digitalization and automation of all internal processes. Lead, motivate and develop team of financial professionals to deliver business results and drive employee productivity and engagement. Report financial performance and progress on key initiatives to the management on a regular basis. Drive agility and creative solutions to support changing market and business models. Ensure business continuity amidst changing environments. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: BA in Finance MUST have at least 8+ years of the following experience: Managing P&L and Cash Flow Strong working proficiency with GAAP or IFRS Leading teams with more than 20 members Global mindset ensuring equally strong support for affiliate / global business Ability to interact with interdisciplinary & international teams Strong sense of ownership and drives improvement throughout the entire organization Effective change management skills with experience of driving the organization and culture towards desired outcomes Ability to manage without expressing authority, building appropriate rapport with colleagues at all levels of the organization Where permitted by applicable law, Siemens may require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 based on job requirements, and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons. Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Currently in a similar role in which they are managing P&L Manufacturing experience in both product and project business.
