Factory Scheduler & Continuous Improvement Agent

Location: Oud-Beijerland

 

A day in the life of a Factory Scheduler & Continuous Improvement Agent

Factory Scheduler (50%)

Establish a factory production schedule considering the local constraints and approved requests from other departments (e.g. engineering, Q&FS, operations, TD, etc.) – to meet customer requirements (CSL) and ensure factory efficiency. First point of contact with Supply Planning to align on the factory production schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Continuous Improvement Agent (50%)

Drives continuous improvement in processes through the application of standardized tools, approaches and the use of common language.

 

Factory Scheduler (50%)

  • Produce & publish efficient weekly production schedule for the full 0-4 week (site dependent) scheduling horizon.
  • Communicate and manage on site impacts to line time within scheduled horizon, e.g., maintenance, trials, training etc.
  • Facilitate and lead the local Weekly Planning’s Meeting
  • Maintaining and review the local site Factory Scheduling Playbook to support production efficiency, together with cross-functional team
  • Daily and Weekly tracking of Factory Scheduling’s KPI’s, responding & communicating as required and drive continuous improvements (input Daily and Weekly FLMOS)
  • Represent 'Planning & Factory Scheduling’ in Daily and Weekly FMOS and communicate customer priorities to operations – gatekeeper for operations to supply planning
  • Maintain connection and thorough understanding of factory operations to understand impact of schedule on factory
  • Maintaining the relevant Factory Scheduler tool Weekplan and understand the link to other systems like PDLS inbound and SAP
  • Prepare and participate in Daily and Weekly connection call with Supply Planning to represent factory operations to support customer needs while maintaining production efficiency
  • Support the development and implementation of regional and global strategies and projects

 

Continuous Improvement Agent (50%)

  • Applies existing established best practices to projects or individual areas of work
  • Identify the areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement processes to address
  • Identify the required changes needed to ensure continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance and support on continuous improvement activities across site Logistics

 

Job Qualifications

1. Education & Professional Qualification: 

Higher education, university degree preferably in logistics

>3 year in logistics

Could be from similar industry, distributors, or retail

2. Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience or affinity with systems used in Production Environment (ERP, MRP, etc. e.g SAP)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch
  • Relevant experience in logistics or operations
  • Strong analytical skills, structured and accurate ways of working
  • Strong in building collaborative relationships and influencing without authority
