About Role:
This role will primarily be responsible for working directly with our
customers providing OS image development services using deployment
technologies (e.g., SCCM, MDT, LANDESK, ALTIRIS, and Symantec Ghost). The
primary responsibility of the role includes working on-site with our customers
to deliver OS image development services, including final image builds,
validation, documentation and training. Creation of technical whitepapers,
articles, postings and presentations providing customers with expert
knowledge, best practices and training will also be required to support our
business growth.
Responsibilities:
• Additional responsibilities include providing pre-sales support, presenting
our services and assisting customers and account teams to overcoming obstacles
and identifying the best fit solutions to meet or exceed the needs of our
customers. This position will be responsible for driving growth of the imaging
services business to meet growth targets. The successful candidate will
leverage their on-site customer engagements to identify additional services
(e.g., BIOS Customization, Asset Tagging, Asset Reporting, Box Labeling)
opportunities and/or gaps within our offers; documenting and communicating
opportunities to offer management and sales teams as appropriate.
• Pre-Sales:
\- Represents Lenovo Services to customers in support of winning PC tenders
and RFP bids.
\- Maintains funnel of project opportunities and in-flight projects with
customer contacts, milestones, and key requirements
\- Generates services demand with Services BDM, actively engaging in account
planning and account business development
\- Uses knowledge of customers, bids & tenders to propose areas for Lenovo
wins
• Lifecycle Solutions – Design & Deliver:
\- Efficiently creates SOWs with detailed capabilities of Lenovo services and
partner network, meeting customer requirements & pricing
\- Ensures SOW SLA’s and milestones are met with Lenovo services and partner
network
\- Effectively scopes key aspects of configuration services, deployment
services, custom support requirements, and asset recovery
\- Maximizes use of scalable, repeatable services, and builds a delivery
structure and network of capabilities to maximize effectiveness and minimize
complexity
\- Point of contact to all new & existing customers for:
o Precise scope of services delivered
o Project scheduling and milestone attainment
o Quality of service, and service delivery-to-commit/SLA’s
\- Project Management of all engagements through to customer sign-off
\- Ensures financial viability of portfolio, effective billing processes &
tracking, and meets/exceeds profit targets
#### Position Requirements:
• Proficiency in Windows client operating systems (Win7, Win8.1, Win10),
components and tools, such as Windows registry, drivers, Sysprep, System Image
Manager, WinPE, OS Activation, policies, WAIK, MDT, SCCM OSD, etc.
• Advanced experience of unattended OS installations (Microsoft SCCM OSD & MDT
technologies)
• Command line tools, utilities, and scripting – including creation and
debugging of scripts (VBScript, Powershell, etc.), WMI objects and batch
files.
• User profile management through policies / registry changes
• Advanced knowledge of disk partitioning with related imaging tools such as
Ghost, ImageX / WIM, Altiris, and processes to restore computers, troubleshoot
issues, and define best practices
• Experience with application packaging tools and related installation
formats, such as MSI, Install Shield and Wise Installer
• Windows Server, Linux OS and server hardware experience a plus.
• Proven experience in documenting system requirements, design,
implementation, and operations document deliverables.
• Independent, self-starting, innovative, deadline-driven, mindset.
• Experienced in identifying/capturing requirements, designing, developing,
system and security testing, documenting, and implementing large scale
enterprise information technology projects/solutions.
• Utilization of change management/change control processes and procedure
