Job Description

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

As a materials analysis engineer, you will be apart of the technology development labs responsible for identifying and developing materials characterization and failure analysis techniques in support of Intel's next generation silicon process development.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing close collaborations with process development engineers and applying analytical chemistry knowledge to help problem solving.
  • Leading the development of analytical chemistry techniques and methods to enhance the learning of new materials/processes and defining and executing the analytical chemistry capability roadmap.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting analytical equipment; tracking operational indicators and continuing identifying opportunities to improve efficiency; Reporting analytical results at various working forums.
  • Training and mentoring technicians and seed engineers.

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:

  • Good knowledge of semiconductor processing and associated chemistry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of driving multiple projects independently and simultaneously; Creative and flexible to thrive under changing priorities.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess the degree by employment start date. 
  • Possess a PhD degree (1+ years’ experience)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials chemistry.
  • 3+ year working knowledge of liquid and gas analytical instruments such as ICPMS, GC/MS, LC/MS, and IC.
  • 1+ year experience in semiconductor bulk chemicals delivery, etch/clean processes.
