Technician 1, FA Lab

Job Description

As the BE FA Technician performing the role of Manufacturing Quality issues Technician Support, you are focused, problem solver, team player, and have exceptional communications and technical skills. You should be an enthusiastic; motivational role model with a sincere interest in efficiency and quality of output of assigned FA request. You would be directly responsible for technical support for Manufacturing Quality issues. A knowledge in micro-electronics, materials science is an advantage. Being in BE Failure Analysis Engineering, you will be able to apply and enhance your technical skills and contribute to technologies introduced by Western Digital.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform analysis on assembly and test defect from production and qualification on semifinished or finished products.
•Be able to Read and understand the test data log and result.
•Perform analysis using FA tools such as X-ray, SAM, Curve Tracer, Microscope, Thermal Emission, SEM, Polishing,etc.
•Generate FA summary with FA findings.  Understand failure mode with mechanism is prefered.
•Supports Engineering Evaluations and other Qualification Activities as required by Engineering
•Update the lab tracking sheet and material control of FA Lab

REQUIRED:

•Electrical background with adequate knowledge on semiconductor assembly process and technology

•Understand failure analysis methodology and flow such as X-ray, SAM, Curve Tracer, Microscope, Thermal Emission, SEM, Polishing,etc

•Good written and oral communication, interpersonal and relational skills, with the ability to quickly develop relationships of trust and confidence with a variety of people and personalities, at all levels within an organization

•Self-motivated with the ability to effectively multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment
•Strong active listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful questions to ensure instructions is correctly carried out. 

•Basic English reading and writing skill.

•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PPT.
