What you will be doing:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Fairmont Gold department and ensure all service standards are followed with friendly, personalized, and engaging luxury service
  • Manage operations of the executive club lounge including all front office tasks, billing, food & beverage offerings, and housekeeping service
  • Oversee recruitment initiatives along with performance discussions with the team
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
  • Maximize rooms revenue through participating in yield management meetings and implementing supporting agreed upon Revenue Management strategies and practices
  • Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Assist with other tasks as required and where necessary

 

Your experience and skills include:

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Degree in hospitality an asset
  • Service focused personality is essential and previous leadership experience in guest relations required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
  • Proven ability to communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills.
  • Ability to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance

 

Physical abilities:

  • Exert physical effort in transporting (30 pounds) approximately 100 feet
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
  • Reach 1-2 feet
  • Remain in stationary position (standing) for 6-8 hours throughout work shift
  • Walking, bending, kneeling, use of ramps and stairs

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
