What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Provide exceptional concierge information to our guests about local attractions, restaurants, theatres, special events and other available services
  • Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
  • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Review all Fairmont Gold reservations to ensure requests are met
  • Assist guests in the Fairmont Gold lounge with food and beverage service
  • Manage the tasks between the pantry, lounge and Fairmont Gold desk
  • Address guest concerns promptly and effectively
  • Follow department policies, procedures, safety policies and service standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

  • Professional, service-focused personality is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Previous Front Desk experience in a luxury environment required
  • Proficient in Microsoft and property management systems, perferably Opera
  • Post Secondary degree in a related discipline an asset
  • Serving it Right and Food Safe certification required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A member of Les Clef d'Or an asset
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, overtime shifts, split shifts and holidays

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
