Family Visitor Openings



Maine Families has openings for a Family Visitors in both Skowhegan and Waterville. These are
full time, year round positions.

Responsibilities include working with expectant parents and parents of young children in their
homes, helping families to understand their child's development and supporting parental/child
attachment. Working with a team and partnering with parents to create family goals, focus on
child health outcomes, and support of parental development.

Requirements are a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social work or related
field and a minimum of one year paid experience working with young children, birth to 6 years
old. Previous Case Management and home visiting experience preferred. Must demonstrate
strong interpersonal, communication (written & verbal) and documentation skills as well as
critical thinking skills and proficiency with using computer programs including Word and Excel.
Must also possess a valid driver’s license and have use of a vehicle insured to State of Maine
requirements; ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Health and Human
Services, Department of Motor Vehicle, National Sex Offender Registry and Fraud background
checks.
