Family/Youth Support Specialist
Assistance Plus has an opening for a part-time FYSS in the Kennebec and Franklin county area. The Certified Family/Youth Support Specialist (FYSS) will work with the behavioral home team to ensure that well-coordinated and integrated care is being delivered to the youth and families served. The FYSS will provide leadership and technical assistance in the development and implementation of the BHHO peer support services. A willingness to share experiences with other parents of children with a severe and persistent mental health diagnosis, co-workers and community providers is an essential role for this position.
***A $500 Bonus offered to eligible candidate***
Minimum Requirements:
- Self-identified parent of a child with a severe and persistent mental health diagnosis that is willing to share that experience to benefit other parents.
- High school diploma or GED or higher education.
- State of Maine Intentional Peer Support Specialist Certification - must have by April 1, 2014. A provisional certification is not acceptable for this position.
- Must meet the annual State of Maine requirements to maintain Family/Youth Support certification.
- Must have a safe automobile, valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of $50/$100k liability insurance.
