Position Overview The Federal Sales Manager position is responsible for growing the Federal Government order volume and market share for our Laboratory Diagnostics and Point of Care Products in the Eastern (NE & SE Areas) United States. The position reports to the SCA VP of Federal Accounts, NAM. Responsibilities The Federal Sales Manager - Diagnostics will be responsible for the following: Develop and implement NAM LD and POC Business Plans outlining the sales approach and tactics to grow the Federal Government Business in the (NE & SE) Area. Jointly implement the Federal Government sales strategy and coverage with LD RVPs and AVPs to grow the Federal Government order volume and market share. Provide specific and fast deal support to LD Account Executives and Key Account Exectutives. Develops relationship with base of customers to maintain and grow diagnostic capital and reagent business in Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, Hemostasis, Urinalysis, Chronic Disease, Critical Care and Informatics. Educate the NAM LD and POC sales force on the Federal Government buying and decision process. Develop promos based on the specific needs of the respective Regions. Ensure and increase Federal Government customer satisfaction in the Regions. Provide feedback with regard to market and customer dynamic to the Federal Account Business in Malvern Responsible for forecasting revenue and unit opportunities in business reviews. Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Professional with bachelor decree or higher and with 10+ years experience in the Healthcare Laboratory Diagnostics and/or Point of Care market. Federal healthcare market experience preferred. Candidate should have experience in sales or marketing or both. Excellent communication skills and team player are required. Travel Requirements: 80%. Geographic accessibility to territory. Ability to influence without authority and collaborate across all levels of an organization (internal and external). Ability to manage and resolve complex business problems; at times in the absence of existing procedures or practices. Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Experience working for/with the US Federal government is preferred High degree of business acumen to include standard competencies (financial, market positioning, healthcare industry, and customer), in order to make sound decisions. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues. Ability of develop an understanding of product knowledge on all product lines.
