- TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSABILITIES
- Maintain up to date knowledge of health system dynamics, policies and regulations.
- Perform a continues mapping of key accounts to ensure a deep understanding of access opportunities, priorities, barriers and potential in the defined countries.
- Gather and work with key payers’ s insights and value drivers to develop a comprehensive, clear and compelling payer tailored access & pricing strategy to ensure patients’ access to our innovative medicines.
- Develop and keep updated stakeholder mapping and employ mapping to execute a comprehensive stakeholder engagement plan throughout the end to end inclusion/ decision-making process.
- Understand payers needs as well as identify the Health Technology Assessment and HEOR required data gap to ensure added value to the access strategy and to build solid and robust reimbursement / inclusion dossiers.
- Deliver national pricing & reimbursement dossiers and conduct listing / formulary inclusion negotiations along with Field Access Lead in cross-functional collaboration, applying integrated account models to consolidate technical and financial data, and providing all the required information to ensure adequate forecasting and supply.
- Analyze and resolve complex/multi technology requests during the access / inclusion process, able to obtain rapid responses from payers during influence phase, leading cross-functional solutions along with medical, access, pricing, legal and regulatory teams.
- Follow up and track the end to end inclusion process and decision making-process, leveraging the stakeholder’s engagement plan to guarantee the access / inclusion objectives and goals.
- Ensure high quality results in all customer-pricing matters and payers’ value drivers.
- Work closely with Field Access Lead in cross-functional collaboration to guarantee flawless implementation and execution of the access strategies in the country.
- Prepare management presentations and dashboards regarding access / inclusion follow-up process and milestones.
- Provide quarterly updated information to build competitive intelligence on market access (cross functional)
- Review and analyze information about market demand & access opportunities, proposal preparations.
- 100% Compliance with policies & procedures and with the Code of Ethics of AstraZeneca.
- Participate and contribute to various project teams and participate in special projects.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Health sciences professional or business administration degree plus 5 years of practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Advanced experience in Public - Institutional Sales, Commercial, Market access or Marketing
- Advanced level of verbal and written English.
- Availability to travel.
- Proven knowledge of health system dynamics, policy and regulations, market access trends, and pricing basis.
- Self-driven, results oriented with a positive attitude and a clear focus on access goals, priorities and milestones.
- Mature, credible and comfortable when dealing with top government authorities, payers and decision makers.
- Reliable, resilient and determined. Empathetic communicator able to see things from the other person’s point of view; with excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to present ideas in a compelling way; and communicate with tact and diplomacy.
