JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Field Application Engineer-Sr works with a team of engineers and Sales to successfully integrate TDKs sensors into customers’ designs.

This role will include collaborating closely with the customer and sales teams on one end and internally with the SW and HW teams to ensure that customer programs launch on schedule to volume production.

Required Qualifications

• Architectural knowledge and good working experience on Android TEE, OPTEE and a very good understanding of Biometric performance standards and requirements
• Prior experience with capacitive touch or fingerprint solutions is a must
• Good awareness of module build and test requirements and how it translates to module integration at key OEMs
• Knowledge of what it takes to execute introduction of a new technology product from sample stage to Mass Production
• Working knowledge of Android operating System and QCOM platforms
• Strong experience in mobile handset device architecture including application processor, graphics and power management functions.
• Willing to do some international travel

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of Bachelor of Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (CS, CE, EE)
• 7+ years’ experience working with customers on developing applications on Linux Platforms and device drivers
• 3+ years’ experience working on Touch or Finger Print related projects in some capacity
• 3+ years of experience in working on Android Platform
• Well versed with Android NDK programming, JAVA and JNI
• Experience in Linux kernel and device drivers
• Ability to take RC releases from core engineering to customize and integrate it into customer platforms. Work closely with customers to resolve issues and take them to MP
• Knowledge of USB and SPI protocols Desire to work with customers to solve challenging issues
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic & challenging workplace
• The candidate should be proficient in C/C++ and JAVA with excellent debugging skills
• Ability to adapt coding style to coding standards
• Should have very good written and oral communication skills.
