Intel’s Customer Quality and Reliability group is looking for a candidate with a quality support mindset with good communication skills, and willing to interact with customers to help resolve their quality and reliability issues during product qualification, ramp and high volume manufacturing.
- Plays a key role in the local and worldwide arena as the primary product quality and post-sales support contact expert, representing Intel in the eyes of Intel's customers and accurately representing the customer's requirements/needs inside Intel.
- Enables Intel technology and product introductions including volume ramp on through product discontinuance to the satisfaction of our customer base.
- Manages the overall customer quality relationship ensuring Intel's brand image for product quality and support is viewed to be leadership status in the marketplace or will devise the appropriate strategy to attain.
- It will often be involved with Sales and Marketing and/or internal partners to set the strategic support direction for the account and provide internal partners with appropriate post-sales support and Quality and Reliability-related sales collateral highlighting the value of Intel's Quality and Reliability leadership.
The Field Customer Quality Engineer or CQE will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Technology-enabling, NPI and volume ramp support.
- Customer satisfaction feedback, issue escalation support, FACR (failure analysis support) and RMA (returns management), customer issue and excursion management.
- Support and project management.
- Provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation, and maintenance of company products.
- Involved in implementing detailed customer installation requirements.
- Ensures hat the client's needs have been met and that the product solution is fully functioning according to specification.
- Provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
- Interacting with Customer, Procurement, Assembly and Manufacturing Test personnel, and Quality contacts to understand customer requirements, resolve quality and reliability issues related to the product qualification ramp, and high-volume manufacturing.
- Teaming up with the divisional marketing applications and business development teams to market the superior quality and reliability of the Intel products through design reviews and providing Quality and Reliability collateral.
- Represent the customer’s voice, influencing Intel's decisions on product Quality and Reliability related attributes and design.
- Staying on top of product health trends to proactively prevent issues and ensure product quality and reliability performance is continuously improved.
- The candidate must have good communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Materials Science or related field of study.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in the field of quality engineering or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of PC Datacenter industry experience and computer architecture.
- Experience in Quality and Reliability functions such as product qualification.
- Experience in customer interfacing roles like technical marketing customer support.
- Basic system triage and analytical debug skills used to identify HW vs SW and component vs platform level issues.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
