Job Description

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed individual objectives on a designated Territory for the products assigned.
  • To effectively train and coach MRs/KAMs to achieve and exceed good levels of knowledge and skills in their role and reach high levels of performance for self and their teams.
  • Identify and establish a close liaison with Relevant Regional KEE, the key budget holders necessary for achieving the objectives on designated Territory for assigned products.
  • To develop a Regional Business Plan on their therapeutic area identifying key opportunities for promoted products and specifying actions and targets to be achieved in line with the strategy and tactics identified in the brand plan. In line with budget and regional business plan effectively manage the allocation of all resources: human, time, cost.
  • Analyse market situation, data and monitor competition activities in order to determine regional product opportunities & threats as well as make appropriate recommendation to explore regional opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • To closely liaise with Brand Managers and other departments to ensure effective implementation of brand plans and timely feedback of market dynamics, promotional campaign issues and competitors’ activities.
  • Plan, monitor and report activity accurately and on time, in line with AZ SFE requirements so that KPI targets are achieved both on MR/KAM level as well as on Regional level.
  • To effectively implement performance management process and implement IDPs for the MRs/KAMs in their teams
  • Maintain regular contact and close co-operation with other departments to ensure an effective exchange of information, support in brand plans (both yearly and cycle) and a uniform representation of the Company’s interests.

Key Performance Areas:

- DATA

  • Ensuring the implementation of the Field Force and Marketing strategy through the Field Force team and appropriate promotional activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Implementing efficient marketing methods and policies.
  • Build efficient and reliable relations with distribution partners.
  • Ensure appropriate reporting is performed by self and team.

 - HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Recruiting, training and managing a team of successful MR/KAM so as to ensure improvement and development of their performance and skills.
  • Responsible with salary and bonus calculation, in accordance with the policies and results obtained.
  • Efficient cross-department activity to deliver business strategy.
  • Implementation of high communication standards both at internal and external level.

 - BUDGET

  • Proposing, monitoring and controlling of budgeted expenses, according to the relevant budget.
  • Monitoring and controlling of budgeted expenses incurred by direct reports.

- PERFORMANCE

  • Successful implementation of activities related to promotion, with a view to observe the highest relevant standards applicable in Romania.
  • Implementation of appropriate measures meant at improving the performance of the Field Force team.

- GENERAL ASPECTS

  • Complying with AstraZeneca Code of Ethics, Global Policies, Ethical Interaction Policy and all other policies standards and procedures stated by AstraZeneca Romania.
  • Behaving according to AZ Values, Leadership Capabilities and ensuring compliance with the company’s codes of practice.

Candidate profile requirements:

  • Medical or pharmacy college graduate, is considered an advantage
  • Minimum 7-year pharmaceutical industry experience and 5 years’ experience in CVRM
  • Strategic thinking

  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Effective people management abilities
  • Very good level of English
  • Very good computer skills
  • Valid driving license
  • The candidate must be located in the designated territory - Banat & Oltenia, this is a mandatory requirement
