What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure: This position assists with equipment installation, cable pulls, repairs, and replacement of a variety of systems, related to fire alarm, and security systems. Activities include installation and check-out of electric and electronic components, conduit, wire, and cable while keeping records and documentation. This position will also provide on-site product and service training to the customer. Responsibilities: Perform installation and check-out of electric and electronic components for systems associated with automatic, fire management, security CCTV, and audio. Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections Install conduit, wire, cable, and devices including panels, sensors and components. Troubleshoot wiring issues. Coordinate with staff about the requirements for material and supplies to ensure timely delivery to the job site. Provide input on and assist with the preparation of as-built drawings. May be required to lay out system wiring, conduit, device location, etc. to ensure a complete and efficient installation. May be required to assist with electrical installation estimates with other Siemens team members. Provide instructions to customers regarding accurate operation of products and services. Enforce to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Required Skills & Education Qualifications: High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree preferred Detailed understanding of electrical codes, requirements, and efficient installation methods and practices. This could also be from an electronics' background and have experience with AC/DC Circuits Experience installing low voltage controls systems; 3+ years preferred Experience installing conduit and running pipe Ability to read and understand design and construction documents Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment; working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions Proven track record to differentiate types/colors of wire, be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted Proven ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Preferred PLT or registered unlicensed PLT Good verbal and written communication skills in English Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations This position supports a Siemens customer who requires all employees and vendors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 where permitted by applicable law and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons.
