Eaton’s Marketing Commercial Operations Division is currently seeking a Field Project Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Cleveland, Ohio location. If residing outside 50 miles, relocation will be offered. Position Overview: This position focuses on managing all related projects for Eaton’s business. Responsibilities of the position are to manage related customer projects in a coordinated manner to obtain strategic benefits and consistency not available from managing them individually, to manage the technical and commercial aspects of related customer major electrical assembly project orders by meeting specifications and timelines for product, documentation, and quality, and to serve as the focal point for program level client and corporate interaction. In this function you will: The Project Manager will be heavily involved working directly with end clients, sales, and contractors in details of major strategic data center project orders. The Project Manager will effectively engage with and coordinate internal resources to enable the implementation of the Eaton Business System with our factories. The Project Manager will work to improve performance on logistics and financial management for Eaton and the customer. The Project Manager will mitigate, track, and communicate financial and schedule risks to internal stakeholders. The Project Manager will manage and report financial metrics. The Project Manager will seek to collect and communicate lessons learned on the individual customer projects for communication to other project teams engaged with products, both with the PMO and the Sales Teams. The Project Manager will seek and communicate to sales potential opportunities for increasing product utilization within a customer’s electrical system design through a recognition of available Eaton products. The goal is to create value in the order management process and demonstrate Eaton’s project execution as a key differentiator to separate us from our competitors. Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: BS/BA degree from an accredited institution Minimum 10 years of electrical industry experience Minimum 5 years project management experience Experience working with and managing projects for multiple large industrial and institutional customers Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or other technical field Electrical industry experience and product knowledge with focus on the following customer bases: Wastewater treatment, Government, Utility, Commercial Construction, etc. PMP certification preferred.
