YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Field Research Agronomist / Technology Development Rep I (southern Texas), are to: 

• Develop and execute a strategic trial plan for territory;
• Understand and leverages business data to influence critical business decisions;
• Create opportunities to demonstrate the value and performance of products to customers;
• Develop and follow sound research protocols that meet Bayer's data needs;
• Manage relationships to ensure successful completion of research projects;
• Analyze data using appropriate and scientifically rigorous methods to support business decisions;
• Execute impactful knowledge transfer activities to internal and external customers;
• Partner with industry thought leaders to identify and develop tailored solutions for our customers;
• Use productivity tools to increase professional performance;
• Demonstrate agility to stay up-to-date with technology needed to do job effectively.

Domestic relocation assistance may be offered with this role.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in agriculture or related discipline with at least five years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development or R&D related roles or Master of Science with at least three years of experience or Ph.D. in Agriculture or related discipline;
• Degree completed by start date;
• Agronomic knowledge of vegetable crop production;
• Ability to convert analyzed data into practical knowledge and solutions for growers;
• Demonstrate strong relationships and collaboration;
• Self-motivate and assertive with a results orientation;
• Willingness to travel;

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs (a bag of seed);

• Ability to pass driving record background check (i.e. moving violations, accidents, license suspension, etc.).
