Job Summary:
Primary activities – Perform field-based activities to support Cepheid product portfolio. Ensure customer satisfaction through effective troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of GeneXpert and Infinity products. Address customer support issues promptly and professionally for the assigned service coverage area. Support productivity and response time initiative to assist with the rapid growth of install base in China.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactive preventive maintenance and modifications, reactive repairs and basic calibration, and installations and de-installations, in a timely, productive, and cost-effective way.
- Train customers in the appropriate maintenance of systems.
- Maximize system performance and minimize downtime
- Understand customers’ needs and take responsibility for problem resolution amongst other functions liaising with the customer on administrative and technical matters
Install, train customers and ensure a smooth and rapid start-up for new customers
Demonstration of Cepheid instrumentation, software and reagents to customers
Experience, qualifications, skills required:
Bachelor's Degree in electronics or engineering (electrical or mechanical) desirable.
3+ years’ experience in technical services role
Excellent customer interfacing skills
Complete knowledge of computer systems, operating systems and networking desired
Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of instrumentation and working within research / clinical environments
Excellent communication skills and technical presentation skills for group and one-on-one presentations
Other Requirements:
- Expectation to travel within China (up to 60%)
- Communication skills in English language (read and write in English is required)
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to cope up with changing priorities
