Job Description

Veranome Biosystems LLC, an Applied Materials company, provides the spatial analysis market with a reliable, easy-to-use, end-to-end multi-omics solution. We enable researchers to deepen their understanding of diseases with high-quality data of how individual cells organize within tissue, using robust workflows, reliable imaging systems and without the need for extensive bioinformatics tools or infrastructure. Veranome’s unique combination of genomics expertise and world-class high-speed diffraction limited optical imaging capabilities enables researchers to access in-situ spatial omics and elucidate reliable disease insights with unsurpassed data quality.

Job Summary: While most industries slowed down in response to the global pandemic in 2020, the field of spatial omics only accelerated.  This is an exciting time in this field and we’re looking for a customer-oriented engineer who will bring their unique perspective and experience to this role.  In this challenging and rewarding career opportunity, you will be working at customer sites to install and start-up sophisticated bio-imaging instruments and to manage the overall instrument qualification process.

The value you bring + the value you deliver: Your work will be critical in bringing advanced high-content imaging and image analysis from semiconductor optical inspection to high-plex, subcellular resolution spatial omics.  You will bring “on the ground” leadership our company needs to deliver the highest quality products and to guide customers through the installation and qualification phases of deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with product engineers to refine system control and calibration software based on user experience;

  • Update procedures and protocols that are implemented at customer site to ensure system performance over time;

  • Provide on-going training to customers on operation and performance of the imaging system.

The position is based in the United States and will require > 50% travel in United States.
