DUTIES: Preventive maintenance, modification, and installation of MI diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites in the San Francisco Bay area including but not limited to: Dominican Hospital, El Camino Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Stanford Medical Center, Sutter Healthcare, UCSF Medical Center, John Muir Health, and the VA San Francisco Medical Center. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customer and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept an Associate’s degree in the above-listed fields and 7 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. Must have 5 years of experience with the following skills: completion of required Siemens technical training courses in the Molecular Imaging (MI) modality which includes Spect/Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT; extensive experience servicing Siemens MI imaging systems; proven ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose & correct complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic system malfunctions with Siemens MI imaging systems; proven ability to mentor/instruct other engineers with repair and maintenance of Siemens MI imaging systems; proven ability to read, understand and apply technical information from Siemens service manuals and schematics to install, operate, troubleshoot and repair Siemens MI imaging systems; proven ability to operate Siemens MI imaging system to generate images, demonstrate & check operation; proven ability to successfully complete preventative maintenance & update procedures for the assigned MI imaging equipment.
