Job Description

The Field Support Engineer will be responsible for customer site preparation consultation, on-site installation, implementation planning, maintenance and repair of Advantest systems. This will include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems. Install and optimize hardware/software products and configurations at customer sites. Perform on-site calibration services per Advantest recommended calibration intervals. Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve product performance problems. Perform on-site maintenance and repair services. Ensure high level of customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance, best known methods/practices and configurations, which may impact product system uptime performance.

  • Working within established policies, processes and procedures, deliver hardware support services for Advantest's fully integrated ATE system solutions.
  • Solve complex problems related to system uptime or availability.
  • Failure data and parts usage analysis (Excel).
  • Strong teamwork and communications with local support team members and management.
  • Respond to all hardware technical support needs from the assigned account(s).
  • Ability to 'work-to-completion' upon short notice which requires working overtime.
  • Timely and accurate completion of all administrative tasks associated with the task performed.
