Job Description

We are now looking for a Field Technical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Electrophysiology Division (EP). This is a field based role covering mainly the area of Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and supporting other European countries if needed. The position will report directly to the General Manager Electrophysiology and Heart Failure based in Austria.

Main purpose of the role:
As an Field Technical Engineer (FTE) you will be responsible for supporting EP cases with the 3D mapping system, promoting EP products during the procedures, providing field/clinical technical support during EP procedures  in hospitals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Field technical support during EP procedures
  • Communication of product features to support sales on the field
  • Provide Customers with continuous Abbott technology update aiming to deliver the highest value added in term of therapeutic solutions
  • Build personal relationship/intimacy with Customers providing adequate support to their scientific and technological needs
  • Act as main interface to implement specific education, marketing and clinical initiatives defined at Customer level
  • Liase with other FTEs to enhance their knowledge and skill on EP  technics 
  • Liaise with Bid & Tender office during bids preparation – technical specifications and support material
  • Maintain high level of administrative control in the centers in conjunction with sales force including monitoring of consignment
  • Provide support to EP FTE Coordinator for any additional tasks and projects
  • Analyze competitors’ devices and realize and maintain updated a marketing database
  • Perform training concerning the use of new products

The ideal candidate should qualify for the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Lifesciences or equivalent
  • Experience in the Electrophysiology field will be considered as a strong asset
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of the Czech and English language (both oral and written)
  • Ability to learn quickly and willingness to develop
  • PC literacy, experienced with MS Office tools
  • Driving License & ability to travel across assigned area on a daily basis
  • Military Obligations fulfilled for male candidates
