Job Description

What You Will Do:

Training

  • Deliver high-impact, interactive, and consistent training solutions for Institutional Field Associates to increase their competence, confidence, and commitment in serving customers and achieving business success
  • Deliver and facilitate training programs which include formal classroom training, eLearning, live-virtual training programs, and small-group training events in the Field
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism, inclusive and respective work environment in all training settings. Enforce code of conduct and other standards.
  • Set up, maintain, and organize training supplies, equipment, simulators, and tools to ensure quality-learning experiences for current and future training participants.
  • Deliver virtual training classes
  • Implement and support new and innovative classroom and development processes and technology to provide a world-class training experience.
  • Field Coaching & Certification
  • Proactively coach individual and small-group Field Leaders and Field Associates to improve their on-the-job performance
  • Ensure tight linkage between training, coaching, field activities, and Institutional strategic business priorities
  • Document field coaching activities and facilitate timely and transparent communication between training, associates and supervisors
  • Observe on-the-job performance and certify Field Leaders and Field Associates based on consistent standards

Curriculum Development

  • Assist in the development of training curriculum and materials
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (such as Field Training Council, Marketing, RD&E, Tech Services, etc) and other training team members to prioritize, design and develop training curriculum and assessments
  • Update curriculum materials based on evolving business needs and training participants’ needs

New Program Deployment

  • Participate in Phase Gate process, market test and field test activities for new programs in order to build expertise and develop training curriculum in support of new program deployment
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deploy new program training solutions for the Field

Collaboration, Teamwork & Professional Development

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and training team members to prioritize training needs, develop/deploy training solutions, and evaluate training effectiveness
  • Involve relevant stakeholders to identify process gaps and develop process improvement solutions
  • Support training team initiatives and proactively identify ways to improve team cohesiveness, engagement and effectiveness
  • Continuously learn new programs, solutions, sales techniques, technologies, business strategies, market trends, etc. to maintain top-notch expertise
  • Continuously improve instructional design, learning technology, facilitation, and coaching skills
  • Maintain appropriate professional certifications such as certified trainer status for ServSafe, CPO, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, education, or related field, or 10 years of equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in training, curriculum development, and coaching others
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, ESM, and other related Ecolab systems
  • Experience in training and mentoring field sales and service personnel
  • Recognized expert in Ecolab Institutional solutions, markets, and systems
  • In-depth knowledge of institutional division offerings and a broad knowledge of Ecolab’s overall offerings
  • Proven track record of self-directed learning and professional growth
  • Passion to teach, coach, and support others to succeed
  • Skilled in project management, time management, and juggling competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal communication, conflict resolution and cross-functional partnership skills
  • Strong written & verbal communications, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, and the ability to effectively resolve complex issues, and communicate effectively at all levels within Ecolab
  • Pipeline potential for additional responsibility
