Job Summary
FileMaker Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple Inc., is looking for interns to join the FileMaker Pro SQA team. This position, requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical skills who can contribute in a dynamic team environment and work independently. The successful candidate will design and execute test cases, develop and use different tools, create and maintain automations, and ensure the successful delivery of a quality product.

Description
The SQA intern is expected to learn various FileMaker software knowledge and technologies being used by the software (Database principles, Security, Network, software engineering) and use of different programming languages (Python, Shell, C++). You will have access to developer’s specifications, design documents and source code, as well as QA’s test plan, to understand the features in depth and produce and execute suitable test cases. The position will involve manual blackbox testing (UI testing, functional testing, smoke testing, performance testing, regression testing), automation creation and maintenance, test tool development. This position is based in Beijing.

Responsibilities

• Authoring, implementing and maintaining test plans and/or test cases
• Functional testing, bug isolation and reporting
• Help developers to associate defects with application behavior
• Communicate with other QA and developers in China and US
• Shipping enterprise-ready high-quality software
• Participate in automation creation
• Create and maintain internal tools

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• Strong technical background
• Excellent written and oral English (interview will be conducted in English)
• Self learner
• Good problem solving skills, detail oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Great team player

Plus

• Previous work experience in Quality Assurance or Software development
• Familiarity with C++, Object C, Python, SQL, or some other programming experience
• Experience with relational database
• Experience or knowledge of the FileMaker platform
• Experience with Web technologies
• In depth knowledge of Mac OS X, Linux or Windows technologies
