Finance Analyst – Accounting & Controlling

Job Description
Role Summary: This position will be a key member of the Asia Steam Power Services organization, reporting to Asia ITR Finance Leader and supporting the Country Finance Manager for North Asia - Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong (subject to change due to business needs in the future).
Essential Responsibilities: • Financial ownership of all the deals in the country – sales, cash and stat/tax reporting with the support from commercial finance, controller, GOF shared services, tax COE, WCS, etc.
  • Execute monthly and quarterly financial closing process (i.e. revenue recognition, cost accruals, project accounting, etc) in SAP PowerMax, Oracle Alpha, Charlie, etc.
  • Perform Margin Review / contract performance review by reviewing contracts, evaluating project milestones and ensuring accuracy of project cost forecasting.
  • Develop estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews/reports
  • Ensure compliance with GE/Local regulatory requirements for tax and statutory reporting purposes. Ensure accurate and timely filing of all regulatory documents.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure controllership and consistency of accounting process across the operations. Drive controllership awareness and processes through operations teams and ensures finance compliance.
  • Support the migration from Oracle to SAP PowerMax and OneSteam ERP initiative.
  • Serves as a business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, and profitability.
Qualifications/Requirements: • At least 6 years of experiences in a financial position
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong knowledge on basic local finance and tax regulation SAP/ Oracle Accounting system proficiency
  • Able to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Analytical and project management ability
