The opportunity:
This role supports the Finance Business Partnering team in providing quality, accurate and timely financial and management information to the Project Management Office (PMO) busines unit. You'll support PMO in presenting and interpreting financial information and providing insights to the Chief Officer and other key stakeholders to support decision making that drives the strategic and financial goals of AIA.
About the Role:
Together with the Head of Business Partners facilitate the business partnering function of Financial Services.
Perform month end close reporting including OPAT analysis and forecasts – detailed analysis of drivers and insightful explanations to the monthly financial performance will be key
Establish key relations with the Executive team and understand the drivers of their business unit performance so as to provide insight and analysis to support business decisions and the strategic and financial objectives.
Be the finance specialist for the business unit performing as a trusted adviser whilst appropriately aligning to the overall financial objectives of AIA. Provide support to the business units in the identification and implementation of strategic initiatives necessary to support the delivery of the strategy.
Completion of month end reporting requirements and production of respective profit and loss statements for business units, including full understanding of expenses. Ensuring the financial results are accurate and supportable for external financial reporting purposes
Production of a Monthly Financial Pack for the CFO which covers financial results, performance drivers of those results and insightful and actionable commentary – this also includes supporting the MMR, MBR, QMR and QBR processes as required by AIA HK and AIA AU leadership teams
Ensure financial services is presented at Business Unit leadership meetings and forums.
Support the annual external audit process.
Preparation of divisional rolling forecasts and annual budgets for each business unit providing the appropriate challenge, support and insight. Prepare presentations and papers, and facilitate financial discussions with the Head of Business Partnering and the Chief Operating Officers of the divisions and their teams Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet reasonable operational and/or other requirement
About you:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to precisely and clearly document meeting discussions and actions.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including strong financial acumen, reasoning and logic.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
The ability to work effectively with management and peers, including having the confidence to raise issues and provide constructive feedback where required.
Strong judgment to make critical decisions and manage outcomes to strict deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work on numerous projects and tasks simultaneously.
