The functional purpose of Finance:

? To be at the heart of business decision-making and risk management

The Finance BP for the CoE has responsibility for supporting the development and implementation of the CoE Business Strategy, partnering the business providing commercial advise and insight for the development and implementation of the business objectives of the Centre of Expertise. The job holder is also responsible for all Finance, Statutory (Legal & Taxation), governance & controlling activities related to the CoE legal entity. This position should also act as a primary liaison with all Finance BP’s across the APAC region for coordinating external audit work between the CoE and the relevant markets.

To oversee CoE’s financial planning and reporting including:

? Compile forecast & budget for CoE

? Reconciliation & liaison with Corporate Finance

? Cost and variance analyses, productivity analysis for CoE

? Manage statutory, audit, and tax matters and liaise with different parties

? Prepare PowerPoint slides, provide insights, and write up commentaries

? Initiate finance related CI improvement projects

? Ad-hoc analysis on key variance items and reporting

To ensure that regional reporting & forecasting is timely and accurate

To identify variances and risks within COE and propose action to address these.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Planning & Strategy

? Partner the 3-year planning business cycle and business strategy

? Lead & ensure the business strategy is implemented and monitored regularly

? Lead or partner in the commercial and financial evaluation of business unit initiatives

? Provide support and insight to the Head of CoE and the CoE Leadership Team and other regional teams into the main cost and cash flow variances

? Support the budget and forecast process by providing insight into current variances and future events

? Provide timely and insightful ad-hoc analysis to support APAC/Group needs.

Audit & Statutory Accounts

? Ensure fully compliant local Statutory Accounts are filed on time

? Ensure compliance with local statutory/regulatory practices

? Local liaison/contact point for external auditors and the annual audit process

Taxation

? Oversee all taxation matters, both direct and indirect for the CoE legal entity

? Liaise and inform the Group Tax Manager as appropriate

? Ensure full and timely compliance and filing of all local tax reporting

? Local liaison/contact point for local tax agents and authorities

? Identify local tax planning opportunities in conjunction with the Group Tax Manager

Legal & Statutory Matters

? Local liaison/contact point with local Group approved legal advisors

? Liaise, inform, report to Head of FP&A and Reporting, APAC and Group Legal Counsel as appropriate

? Review all commercial contracts to assess need for Group or external legal counsel review

? Handle/oversee all local company secretarial activities to ensure full local compliance

Management Reporting

? Ensure all variance analysis reporting requirements are completed on a timely basis with quality.

? Ensure actions are taken to achieve deadlines for the different reporting requirements within the CoE

Risk Management

? Handle all local insurance related matters including Group submissions

? Local champion and coordinator for period ICQ review

? Local liaison/contact point for periodic internal audit activities

? Take proactive and broad base stance on risk management e.g. ICQ, H&S,

Essential:

? ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent

? Significant experience working in a commercial environment as a business partner with at least 5 years in a multi-market role within a global organisation

? Experience managing, co-ordinating & tracking complex budgets within a matrix structure

? Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel, BW, ERP systems, and accounting systems �C able to create reports and dashboards, interrogate data and conduct simple statistical analysis

? Experience of using BI systems such as Business Objects

? Strong communication skill and culturally sensitive with proven ability to operate in a remote setting from direct reporting manager and be able to build effective working relationships across geographies and cultures

? Positive attitude and work well under pressure to tight deadlines; ability to multitask and work efficiently

? Shows evidence of all of the behaviours �C RS The Way We Work

? Excellent communication skills at all levels

? Experience in adopting and embedding good practice from other organisations

? Fluent in English language

Desirable:

? European or Asian language skills other than Chinese
