Siemens have an exciting opportunity for a Finance & Commercial Executive/Manager to join our Process Automation Finance team supporting the Measurement Intelligence Business (MI). Siemens Process Automation provides hardware, software and services to automate, integrate and optimise our customers’ plants and factories across various industries. Reporting to the Finance and Commercial Manager, you will be responsible primarily for supporting the Measurement Intelligence Business with finance and commercial matters. Working closely with the Business Manager, this will also require a certain amount of travel around the UK and Ireland to visit our Customers and Partners. The role will be based in either Worcester or Manchester and align to Siemens flexible working policy. What are my responsibilities? P&L responsibility for your assigned business areas including: Review and control of orders, revenue and costs. Forecasting. Booking and commercial management of projects and contracts. Timely and accurate invoicing monitoring and resolution of invoice queries; Debtor reviews; active participation in debt collection / management; coordination of invoicing with our Siemens India service providers. Review and approval of supplier invoices and resolving queries as the need arises. Timely and accurate completion of month end and related activities including: posting of journals; calculation and assignment of Costs Of Sales where required; regular review of Work In Progress balances. Controlling and monitoring of balance sheet items such as WIP (Work n Progress). Responsibility for completing ICFR controls for area of own responsibility. Coordinating, reporting and participating in process improvement activities Supporting the business by providing ad hoc analysis as required in a timely manner What do I need to qualify for this role? Experience in a finance and/or commercial department/ team and / or a Degree in Finance / Accounting Experience of using SAP would be advantageous Experience of using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Terms & Conditions experience desirable but not crucial. Candidate studying towards CIMA qualification or qualified would be desirable but not essential. Customer focused – experience working in a customer facing role Collaborative, teammate but also able to work autonomously Organised, methodical approach. Able to balance multiple, simultaneous demands and workload spikes at key times eg financial period ends.
