The Role:

Finance Controller, China plant reports directly to Global Manufacturing Controller. The position is responsible for China Manufacturing support, FP&A, accounting, tax and compliance matters at Moldev and ForteBio Manufacturing sites in China.

Major Role and Responsibilities:

• Business partner of global plant GM’s to support manufactory growth in China, understand the business environment to lead creative planning and to prioritize at a strategic level.

• Provide strategic input and insight to drive operations efficiency and savings.
• Provide leadership and coaching for the plant finance department in an environment of open communication, trust, and confidence. Ensure that adequate skills and knowledge are applied.
• Identify internal control weakness, drive and provide leadership for the implementation of change and innovation to support the achievement of cost reduction and improvement opportunities.
• Lead the standard pricing management, standard cost annual roll, annual plant budgeting and forecasting process, analysis and interpretation of operating statistics and accounting information in order to appraise operating results and performance against budget.
• Identify, analysis and drive cost savings, efficiency gains, PPV, VAVE realization.
• Preparation of financial reports and presentation of findings and recommendations, including lead monthly financial reporting for plant legal entities.
• Interfaces with DHR Internal Audit Group – responsible for planning and executing on internal audit reviews with each regional controller.

Additional characteristics and professional qualifications the best candidate to assume the role would possess are as follows:

• Accounting or Finance degree (or equivalent). ACCA, CGA or CPA preferred, SOX knowledge required.
• Requires an in-depth understanding of China / US GAAP / and manufacturing accounting.

• Strong business acumen, including the ability to partner and communicate effectively with line management and other Danaher operating businesses, as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to lead an organization through major changes without losing momentum. The ability to inspire continuous focus on key business drivers, as well as the Company’s mission/values.
• Continuous improvement oriented – participates in Kaizens, has familiarity with lean principles and how to apply them to Finance value streams.
• Strong communication skills in English, ERP experience required, Hyperion experience preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of total finance experience, of which at least 5 years at manager with people management experience.
• Manufacturing experience is a must, and commercial experience preferred.
• Demonstrate integrity and trust with self-awareness and humility, adhering to Corporate and Opco standards of conduct.

• Deal with complex financial information and analysis with a clear view of the targets, projection and performance required. Organize thoughts and facts and present them clearly.
