Position Overview
Siemens Digital Industry is looking for a dynamic financial professional to work as a segment controller within our Digital Enterprise Services Business Unit. This in an opportunity for the right person to partner with the business lead to establish targets, drive initiatives, and grow the business.
Digital Enterprise Services is driving the digital transformation of the industrial market with a comprehensive portfolio ranging from traditional services to the seamless integration of automation, software and cutting-edge technologies that will take the industry to the next level of efficiency. We address numerous markets with a focus on automotive, aerospace, machine tool, pharmaceutical, chemical, water and wastewater as well as glass and solar.
This ideal person for this role is entrepreneurial, collaborative, analytical with the mindset to leverage technology to be part of digitalization transformation of finance.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all business segment finance functions including financial planning and reporting, and controlling
- Responsible for P&L, balance sheet, and cash performance, financial related activities, risk management and accuracy of books & records.
- Proactively drive business initiatives, work with proactively identifying opportunities for business process and financial improvements and ensuring timely execution.
- Act as a partner to the business lead to develop and drive business initiatives
- Develop accurate forecast in conjunction with the business
- Ensure transparency into financial performance, financial risk, and compliant business operations while executing business strategy.
- Work with the business lead in making key strategic decisions and ongoing business strategy planning and execution.
- Serve as a key contributor in the business performance management process by providing financial transparency on business activities, insightful analysis and targets, predictions, or models on future business development.
- Work closely with the operations management to ensure continuous improvement in all manufacturing, logistics and customer support processes and high reliability in all delivery KPI’s.
- Work closely with the sales management to set targets and drive profitable, capital efficient growth.
- Lead, motivate and develop team of financial professionals to deliver business results and drive employee productivity and engagement.
- Report financial performance and progress on key initiatives to the management on a regular basis.
- Support the business lead to build and maintain trustful relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders in the worldwide matrix organization.
- Drive agility and creative solutions to support changing market and business models.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience
All qualified candidates should have at least 7 to 10 years of experience inclusive of:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, or finance required.
- Strong working knowledge of all financial statements
- Working in a multi-national, matrix environment
- Global mindset ensuring equally strong support for affiliate / global business
- Ability to interact with interdisciplinary & international teams
- Experience with SAP FICO module and Essbase.
- Strong sense of ownership and drives improvement.
- Team mindset with the ability to work with and lead teams constructively to achieve a common goal
- Solid business acumen and ability to interact and communicate with all levels of management.
- Organized, creative, able to bring new and unique ideas; easily make connections among previously unrelated notions; seen as original and value-added in brainstorming settings
