Job Description
Siemens Smart Infrastructure is recruiting for a Finance professional to join our Controlling team based in Farnborough, to provide excellent reporting, analysis and financial support to the business ensuring total transparency of business results. Whilst this role is based from our Farnborough office, we offer flexible working and the option to work from home part of the week if you wish. This role will report to our Head of Controlling. What are my Responsibilities? · Credit Control Queries - management of credit control queries and management of overdue debt to ensure their resolution within the business to ensure that Credit Control team can collect cash · Manage the GR/IR and workflow processes for the business to ensure aged items are minimal and that suppliers are paid on time · Set up SLA’s with other Siemens businesses and ensure invoicing on a monthly basis in line with SLA’s · Month-end activities – a key player in the month-end process, ensuring month-end activities are carried out in line with reporting timetable and guidelines · Posting of journal vouchers on SAP e.g. or accruals, cost transfers · Ensure all costs received from internal departments are in line with forecasts and budgets and are received in a timely manner · Ensure adequate internal controls are in place and perform ICFR business control activities · Co-ordinate the PSA (PAYE settlement agreement) activities, ensuring travel and business expenses are in line with expenses policy and are HMRC compliant · Co-ordinate the annual tax pack for the tax department · Monitor balance sheet accounts in relation to accounts payable and receivables to support balances to ensure items are valid · Headcount reporting · What skills and experience will you bring to the role? · Experience working within a finance / controlling team with significant experience of credit control and month end activities · Proven experience in working to and meeting deadlines, for example at busy month end periods · Excellent communication skills and a positive and team orientated attitude · You will be well organised and able to work methodically and accurately with good attention to detail · Ability to work closely with all disciplines in the business and explain financial data to non finance professionals · Motivation to take on responsibility / ownership for processes and actively drive towards results · Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines · Good working knowledge of SAP is preferable The benefits package for this role includes a generous base salary, annual bonus, 26 days holiday, and up to 10% pension contribution match.
