The Finance Data Steward is the global data steward. This position is responsible for driving the adoptions of data & process standards set by Global Finance Data Council and Data Champions for the Finance domain. The role will provide guidance and clarify any issues that might be arise in the management of finance master data; and will represent the finance domain in the stewardship forums as well as provide feedback to the Regional Chief Data Steward for discussions with the data councils. The data organization will continue to evolve master data strategy, data models & standards and implement & scale those across segments & markets.

 

What are we looking for?

• Bachelors degree in Business or similar

• Considerable experience in data management and finance
• Understands the finance domain with strong background on financial accounting and reporting experience
• Experience implementing complex and efficient business processes, data, and work-flows
• Candidate should have in-depth experience in managing teams that were executing data operations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with proven management experience within a matrix organisation
• Strong Business Acumen of the FMCG industry
• Stakeholder Relationship Management of regional leaders
   

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Primary interface for the business stakeholders on a day to day basis while working with the data operations team.

• Understands the overall governance objective set by the Finance Data Councils
• Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) for the finance domain.
• Ensure that the finance master data changes are executed by the master data maintenance team in a quality and timely manner
• Responsible for handling any immediate escalations and to expedite request
• Responsible for driving the accuracy of the finance data, while working with the Data Quality organization. They are responsible for setting the thresholds for the Global Data Quality KPI’s for their domain/segment
