Global Sales Organization spans across 50+ subregions and over 100+ countries where Finance carries the local accountabilities for the financials as well as statutory and compliance matters across all Microsoft Commercial Segments and Products.

This role leads the Financial Controllership team accountable for end-to-end management of the multi-billion dollar WW GSMO Management P&L with strong internal controls. The P&L Lead delivers crisp, timely actionable insights for senior leadership team, drives strategic decision support and leads effective rhythms to drive profitable and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• People Leadership - directly manage a team of 5 FTEs and leading 2 WW communities of Field Controllers. As a people manager and leader, this position is accountable for building/developing a team with clear understanding of the vision of the team forward and skillset/roles needed to drive this agenda. Drive a strong performance culture, growth mindset and ensures the team is contributing to the success of others and builds on the rest of the organization
• Trusted advisor of the GSMO Finance and Business CVPs, and liaison to CFT and EG finance teams. The P&L Lead builds partnerships across Corp and Field to deliver insights on P&L results, accurately forecast future results and Inform decision makers on timely basis to optimize spending.
• Oversee WW GSMO P&L and deliver insights for the Close Meeting, Quarterly CFO Review and Preview, QBC, and other GSMO SLT Meetings.
• Responsible to lead the Rhythm of Finance discussions on P&L topics with across the A14 geos. Ensure we have the right discussions and clearly understand the business stories.
• Ensure compliance with the Field Operating Model (FOM) - Tracking RCA (Revenue Cost Accountability), reviewing exception requests, ensuring that Forecasts adhere to expectations, and partnership with the Planning & Strategy team on future FOM changes.
• Responsible for WW P&L planning, orchestration and lead process (Budget, Forecast, Closing, quarterly business review) to ensure end to end flow.
• SOX & accounting: Supervise SOX & MAP compliance and sign-off for WW Management P&L.
• Own GSMO policies and guidance, co-own Revenue Adjustments and COGS policies and guidance.
• Ensuring proactive Risk Management through internal controls and compliance
• Enforces and enhances the Compliance framework 

Qualifications

• Statutory (Local GAAP, USGAAP) Accounting, P&L Controlling expertise
• Compliance and risk management proficiency
• Strong analytical skills. The ability to see beyond the numbers to understand the key drivers
• Team player with the ability to manage cross-group and cross-country boundaries
• Uncompromising attention details to ensure accuracy
• Highly organized and with track record of at managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines and delivering high impact
• Excellent communication skills across verbal, written, and presentation (clear, concise, and effective for influence)
• 12+ years of progressive experience; BA/BS or MBA in Finance/Accounting/Economics required; CA/CPA preferred
