Business Analyst

To analyze, assess and consult on project engagement requests raised to meet business objectives. Entails understanding of high-level requirements, existing technology framework and linkages to other functions/processes for proposing effective delivery solutions in partnership with product SMEs. Provides recommendations on re-prioritization of the delivery backlog, proposed solutions & resources, where necessary. Monitors and tracks engagement requests against delivery, budget, schedule and quality targets.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for constructing and maintaining the knowledge base of enterprise business capabilities in terms of business information and processes

Working with Product Owners and Company Platform Owners/Architects to understand the strategy and vision for the product/platform, potential impacts and opportunities in the environment

• Responsible for consulting with business partners on solutions for business problems in conjunction with platform SMEs. The consultation will last through the phases of understanding high level requirements, proposing a technical solution in conjunction with platform SMEs and providing high level estimates (If required) for the solution to be implemented.

• Working within the architectural vertical teams to describe & develop a target business architecture, describing the product and/or service strategy alongside Business requirements

• Ability to apply Costing, Project life cycle skills, Agile Methodology & delivery models as part of the job

• Responsible for capturing high-level requirements in the form of Initiatives, Capabilities, Features , understanding impacts, technical solutions in partnership with platform SMEs and co-ordination for assessing high level estimates for the work efforts required.

• Should be able to independently run consultation discussions on projects/tasks with business partners and SMEs

• Should liaise with Business Partners & drive the prioritization discussions with Product teams

• Work closely with cross-functional teams and develop strong working relationships with various technology groups

• Provides process overview to the business partners and technology owners about the engagement process, high level estimates, etc.

• Familiarity to tools like Rally , JIRA for agile project management will be a plus

• Experience of working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) , driving discussions with various ART’s to deliver the solution.

Qualifications

Required skills:

? Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field (6-8 years of relevant experience)

? Typically possesses prior IT and business work experience with exposure to technical environments and business segments.

?Good exposure to Costing / Project life cycle skills. Understanding of Agile Methodology & delivery models

? Experience in dealing with business partners, requirements gathering, assessment. Demonstrated ability to develop and document technical and functional specifications and analyze software and system processing flows.

? Good relationship management skills. Strong communication and presentation skills

? Self starter with a curiosity and appetite for new technology and process improvement along with excellent problem solving skills and technical aptitude

Specific Requirement

Previous experience working with ERP systems (Finance specific). Yonyou experience will be an advantage
