Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain an effective system of internal controls by developing and implementing appropriate financial policies and procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between local operating units and corporate/regional functional groups ensuring coordination of efforts and proper guidance and support to the local operations.
- Act as an active member of the decision-making process both locally and at the regional level, specifically providing financial expertise and leadership.
- Participate in the development, interpretation, recommendation and implementation of a broad variety of business programs including financial planning, analysis of financial and operating data, market strategies, asset management, sales strategies and cost control.
- Organize the information needs of various corporate functions such as treasury, tax, planning, and audit.
- Develop ERP-related initiatives including implementation planning.
- Monitor capital expenditures; purchase supplies and services; and determine, design or implement objectives, strategies, programs, policies and/or procedures in China.
- Oversee the establishment of proper financial systems and controls and ensures the country financial management practices conform with corporate/regional policies and local statutory regulations.
- Oversee the establishment of proper management reporting systems and analyses and ensures subsidiary management reporting practices.
- Prepare, review, and communicate monthly financial and operating results, performs analysis of financial and access progress towards achieving strategic goals and achievability of plans.
- Participate with senior management in developing alternative courses of action where required.
- Ensure appropriate management and safeguarding of country assets. Oversee the preparation of country financial reporting, both internal and external.
- Work with Corporate Tax to support tax planning and compliance efforts while identify opportunities to minimize tax liability.
Requirements:
- A degree in accounting and/or business administration (MBA and CPA, CMA or equivalent) with at least 10 - 15 years of diversified business experience including 10 years post qualification in accounting, business/financial planning, financial analysis, internal/external audit, implementation of internal control policies/procedure.
- Experiences with companies of manufacturing environment, familiar with ERP System
Exceptionally high levels of self-direction, analytical creativity and intelligence- Diplomatic with proven leadership capability and strong communication skills in English and Chinese
- Ability to communicate effectively with the management team.
- Willingness to listen to others’ ideas and care to develop subordinates.
