Position Summary:
Reporting to the COD who is based in Melbourne, you will take full ownership to deliever both operational and strategic elements of the finance function of the organisation across China, Hongkong and Australia. You will manage a team of four and not to be scared to dive in at a hands-on level to get job done. There is ample opportunity to step out of the operational finances and help design/deliver stronger financial management, governance and reporting processes. You will also be working with a range of stakeholders to ensure projects are accurately reported on and delivered.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
Manage the end to end finance function
Managing all cyclical reporting; Production of month end reporting and reconcilations; Deliver reports at Board level
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and assisting the sales and management teams to review performance against same; Review, monitoring and managing budgets
Preparation of investor presentation to provide overall updates (company strategy, vision, work in progress update etc) to shareholders/investor
Review and management of general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, WIP and related subsidiary ledgers
Managing the payroll and aassociated functions
Ensuring all tax and other (financial and employment) obligations are met. For example BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, WorkCover, Income Tax, R&D tax incentive.
Preparation of year-end financial statements (to trial balance level) with reconciliations and supporting documents for external taxation accountant’s review
Review, redevelopment of finance and governance processes
Liaise with internal stakeholders at all levels on financial data/reporting
Ad-hoc analysis and strategic support
Leading accounts team, mentoring and developing other members of the finance team
Liasing with Melbourne office and providing support as required
Management of relationship with external service provider such as banker, external taxation accountant, consultants and legal advisors
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following attributes:
Bachelor Degree or above, major in Accounting/Finance/Business/Commerce. Graduate with Australia tertiary education preferred
CA or CPA qualification are advantageous but not essential
Familiar with taxation requirement of China, Hongkong and Australia
Minimum 5+ years' working experience in financial accounting and/or management accounting
Experience in international trading/telco related industry preferred
Experience in management of multi-currency environment
Execellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential
Excellent knowledge and skills in the full Microsoft Office Suite.
Advanced Ms Excel skills – strong analytical skills and familiar with all functions and PivotTable usage in generating report
Strong understanding of processes and reporting
Strong people skills and forward thinking
Strong relationship building skills and genuine passion to mentor staff and provide ongoing training and development
High attention to detail.
Good professional ethics and interpersonal skills with strong communication and understanding and analytical skills.
Salary & Benefits:
Annual salary and benefits package up to CNY320,000
Opportunities to travel to Melbourne for training purpose
