A wide-ranging finance role, providing business partnering for senior staff in Poland and responsible for financial reporting and control for Allergan Aesthetics in Poland, reporting to the Director Finance, AA - CEE. Acting as a business partner to the local commercial team and providing support to General Manager, Poland. In the role it is required to demonstrate commercial acumen, ability to challenge and to make a real and positive contribution to the business. This will include working closely with commercial organization, consolidating information, and presenting monthly results, forecasts and plans and other ad hoc projects. Critical to the success of the role will be the job holder's ability to build positive working relationships where they can challenge and contribute as a "business-person" as well as a Finance practitioner. The job holder will be responsible for all financial control and accounting within Allergan Poland. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Budgeting/forecasting/cost control Working closely with the General Manager (“GM”) and heads of department to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial processes and financial records Close cooperation with the GM and departmental managers to prepare, manage and review the full P&L for the company, including the process of sales planning (S&OP), sales margin analysis, selling and marketing costs and general and administrative costs (G&A) within the company reporting process LBE, Plan, LRP-multi-year plan, specifically: Forecasting promotional, sales, marketing, R&D and G&A costs; Working with the GM and departmental managers to prepare and present sales plans, business forecasts and prepared strategy to CEE region management; Appropriate analysis and commentary on ‘in-market’ sales and stockholding, both within the company warehouse and with wholesalers; Sales performance control or analysis of deviations compared to forecasts, plans and budgets as part of periodic reporting; Control of sales and marketing costs and G&A as well as analysis of deviations from forecasts, plans and budgets; reporting to the Management Board on deviations between current performance and budget/forecast and reporting the reasons for these deviations Preparation and transmission of monthly analyses and reports to the GM and Heads of Department; Create additional financial reports required by the Company's management Supervision of the Company's financial liquidity, preparation and monitoring of cash flows Participation in various projects and execution of assigned tasks. Business Partnering and Staff Management Trusted Business Partner for Allergan Aesthetics management teams, to ensure effective reporting and analysis, shaping and realization of the Company's financial strategy; Performing a representative function in front of public authorities in Poland as part of the function of a Company Management Board Director; Providing support to the GM on current and ad hoc operational issues of the Company; Participation in trade policy making and pricing strategy; Participation in the Demand Planning Process for Allergan Aesthetic Poland; Leading finance integration process of Allergan Poland into AbbVie structures and processes; Develop tools for department managers to track and manage the Company's operational issues, optimizing streamlining and monitoring processes; Act as a member of the local affiliate management team; Participation in regional projects related to the CEE strategy and priorities; Personnel management – responsibility for employee development, training, providing the necessary substantive support, motivating, setting goals, regular feedback, conducting evaluation of subordinate Employees and maintaining high labor standards; Statutory accounting and taxes Ensuring that the Company’s books comply with applicable accounting and tax laws; Supervision of the annual management of the financial report and preparation of VAT and CIT calculations in accordance with Polish accounting rules; Contact and cooperation with advisors and internal and external auditors, banks, insurance companies and tax authorities; Responsibility for the development and implementation of financial procedures; Coordinating financial system updates in line with evolving tax and accounting rules; Ensuring proper financial control in accordance with the applicable rules; Verification and supervision of accounting records, documents and reports; Coordinating the preparation of any reports required by the National Polish and the GUS; Supervision of local transfer pricing policy, development and monitoring of the Company's profitability model based on the Group's guidelines; Supervision of the Company's goods warehouse. US GAAP Accounting Supervision of the General Ledger and the closing process of the month – the control of reserves to ensure the correctness of management accounts on a monthly basis; Coordinating the month-end process with other departments – ESSC, heads of department; Application and adherence to company policies and procedures regarding general ledger and US GAAP; supervision of the AP process (obligations) the flow and acceptance of invoices, ensuring compliance of the process with the company's obligations to purchase policy; Payroll process: acceptance of payroll payments in the banking system; Working with ESSC (GL, AP, AR, Taxes, T&E) to ensure the correctness of all processes and transactions in accordance with US GAAP and local regulations; Preparing and reporting corporate tax reporting. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Qualified or near-qualified accountant with strong systems and Excel skills and a good understanding of Polish reporting requirements (local GAAP) At least 5 years’ relevant experience in a multinational company with a focus on commercial accounting /reporting Strong time management and analytical skills; well organized and able to prioritize during time-pressured periods Capable of working on own initiative, and meeting tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy / attention to detail Ability to communicate professionally and clearly in English Ability to build positive working relationships, be responsive and proactive Strong business acumen.
