· Responsible for the Hotel's overall accounting and financial management requirements.
· Maintain control over income, expenses and assets of the Hotel in compliance with ACCOR policies and procedures as well as
local requirements.
· Perform month-end process including, but not limited to, preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries,
maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally
accepted accounting principals
· Prepare the cash flow reports in a monthly, yearly basis
· Prepare the monthly reporting as per ACCOR policies
· Prepare and submit all tax declaration forms to AADE (VAT, Withholding Tax, Tax income declaration form etc.)
· Prepare and sign off IFRS Balance Sheet
· Ensure electronic payments have the signatory of a member of Group B on each individual page and the initials of a
member of Group A and both members of Group A and B sign the Batch Total of the payment run
· Approve all journal entries with supporting documentation
· Ensure the system is set up to prevent month end closing without all journal entries being posted, updated or otherwise
entered into the General Ledger
· Ensure that monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and all bank reconciliations are prepared
· Ensure accumulated depreciation accounts are accurate and properly recorded
· Lead the external/internal audit and be the primary contact for the auditors
· Assist GM in preparation of all budgets and forecasts
· Prepare and submit to the authorities all applications and renewals related to the hotel operation licenses
· Have the ability to supervise the day-to-day duties of the Finance team and assist as necessary
· Continuously strive for improvement of processes and efficiency.
· Plan, organize, lead and control different projects and activities within the finance team
· Assisting the management in implementing and supervising the Operational Standards as well as the hotel’s internal rules
and regulations.
Work Experience
· B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration
· 3-5 years of experience with similar responsibility preferably within a multinational environment.
( Prior working experience in hotel industry, will be considered a plus)
· Fluent in Greek and English, written and spoken. Good Knowledge of French or Italian would be an asset
· Proficient in MS Office packages and finance software packages
· Experience with preparing financial statements and the month-end/year-end close process
· Familiarity with IFRS
· Proficiency in local tax regulation and accounting
· Leadership skills that utilize persuasion and motivation to attain organizational goals is the most desirable
management quality, followed by honesty, integrity, ethical behavior, tactfulness, openness, and cultural awareness
· Ability to accept responsibility
