THE GIG (Summary of the Role)

Report to Financial Controller Asia Pacific and dotted line to General Manager China, the incumbent will work closely with key stakeholders to establish accounting principles and standards for China business, also provide timely and insightful analysis to assist leadership team on strategic decision. 

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART (Responsibilities)

• Lead a small team in HK and China to setup accounting procedures, perform all accounting and finance responsibilities including financial accounting, reporting, budget, forecast, costing and P&L analysis
• Review and manage the accuracy of month end closing and group consolidation
• Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements according to corporate standard
• Act as a Business Partner to work with China Country Manager and to provide profitability analysis, trade forecasting, and revenue mix analysis includes but not limited to new store proposals, new business channel investments, highlighting potential risks and opportunities
• Assist in the implementation of new ERP system in the region
• Liaise with auditors for yearly audit and review
• Perform other ad hoc projects & duties

YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES (Requirements)

• Degree in Accountancy or related disciplines along with a professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA/CA)
• At least 8 years of relevant experience with 3 years in a managerial position gained from MNC
• Prior experience in China Retail & Ecommerce Finance functions, sourcing office experience is a plus
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiar with PRC accounting standards, taxation, customs, banking, legal and government regulations and practices
• Hands-on, responsible, independent, self-motivated and strong analytical skills
• Strong people management skills, imitative to collaborate, influence and persuade at all levels, support
• Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
• Frequent travel to China is required
