Fugro North East Asia is looking for an enthusiastic Finance Operations Manager to lead the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) based in Hong Kong.

In this role, you are finance end-responsible for the FSSCs in North East Asia (main hub in Hong Kong with satellite staff in China and Japan) and are supported by the Global Head Finance Operations based in the Netherlands. In total, 13 team members with 4 direct reports to this role.

Based in our Hong Kong office and reporting to the Regional Head of Finance APAC in Singapore and the Director, North East Asia in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Leads FSSC and ensures application of Fugro FSSC process model
• End responsible for accounting & reporting of actuals of entities in FSSC scope (final approval by entity)
• Management of FSSC staff, incl. planning and development
• Account management of entities serviced by FSSC
• First point of contact in escalation of FSSC related issues
• Executes and reviews compliancy of transactional finance controls in accordance with Fugro Internal Control System (ICS) and external(statutory) and internal policies/procedures
• Ensures accounting changes fit with Group consolidation process
• End responsible for financial AP and AR master data
• Drives process improvements and aligns with Global Head Finance Operations

A successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in the same capacity
• Preferably member of a professional body (Chartered/Certified Accountant)
• Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• People management experience
• Excellent English and Chinese language skills including Mandarin
• Excellent communication and people development skills
• Competencies: accurate, analytical, independent, organized, pro-active, service minded, team player
• Self-starter who does not mind getting operationally involved
• Proactive and positive approach to work
