Job Description

Finance Supervisor

As a Finance Supervisor at Rolls Royce Power System, you will be responsible for accounting and Reporting.

Key Accountabilities:

Accounting/ Finance:

  • Review B/S account monthly. Ensure accuracy and compliance by applying relevant IFRS and local requirement (IFRS15, IFRS9, IFRS16 etc). Experience in handling full set of accounts and month-end closings. Fix assets and intangible asset management. Responsible for intercompany reconciliation. Warranty and other provision (accrual, prepaid expenses etc) monitoring, tracking and booking. Contract management. Corporate insurance.
  • Lead/ manage internal and external financial audit. Responsible for All GL Posting and Finance Policy, Guideline. Create vendors master in Global System. Backup Account Payable section (Calculation Check of all payments). Support and back-up of other accounting functions, e.g. AR, AP, Treasury. Support the Internal Control System (ICS) by monitoring risks and effectiveness of controls for the assigned Area of Responsibility (AoR). Provide sufficient evidence of control timely. Support local subject matter expert (SME) to keep risks and controls up to date. Assist in daily accounting duties and internal control system.

Reporting/ Costing:

  • Prepare and submit legal reporting package, e.g. MIF. Support preparation of monthly rolling forecast (MRF). Participate & provide support in NWC and cash-flow management. Support cost efficiency, monitor processes and guidelines to improve the operational and financial effectiveness. To submit timely management report to Head Office (TAMIS, SalesCon, CAPEX etc)
  • Prepare and/ or support monthly/ quarterly/ yearly planning/ forecasting tasks for assigned area of responsibility. Support with analysis of discrepancies to plan and develops counter measures how to reach target figures.

Taxation:

  • Ensure tax compliance and manage the tax exposure for MTU Hong Kong. Provide tax advice and pro-active support to the business. Establish and Maintain a trusted relationship with local tax authorities and audit firm . Manage daily tax operations to achieve both tax compliance and tax optimization . Manage tax provision, tax return and monthly/quarterly/yearly tax filing of all corporate taxes, VAT, CIT, annual filing, surcharge etc. on time in compliance with the related tax regulations and meet with tax authority’s practice. Manage and coordinate tax audits, closely support all external and internal audit within the scope of tax operation and ensure the timely and effectively feedback.
  • Keep studying the new tax policies and regulations, follow up the tax reform trend and investigate it furtherly to implement in daily business. Prepare related documents and report to meet transfer price compliance requirement according to applicable tax regulation. Closely interact with group tax team concerning with tax affairs to share information, experience and reach aligned approach.

Key Experiences and any Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance Management or similar studies.
  • Problem solving ability when issues are very complex.
  • Conceptual-analytical, high self-independent and proactive working method.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Presentation skills. Fluent in English.
  • Proficient in PC and MS Office. Preferable SAP knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a team and intercultural competence. Must be available to work flexible hours.
