Reports to Sr Manager – FP&A and Finance Transition Lead

The Amgen Capability Center in Lisbon, Portugal (ACCP) will be home to over 300 multi-national and multi-cultural employees, representing a broad range of cross functional capabilities, including Commercial, General and Administrative, Information Systems, Research and Development and more. The ACCP will be temporarily located at the Maleo – Saldanha, Av. da República 18, 1050-191 Lisbon. We’re already gearing up to have our brand-new permanent office ready in the vibrant city center of Lisbon by the spring of 2022.

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support the delivery of the day to day FP&A activities for your assigned regions (e.g. South Europe). Operating under limited supervision this role is responsible for supporting Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost Management and reporting tasks. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Under minimal supervision, plans and execute the regional FP&A activities
  • Facilitates business planning and decision-making; providing financial analysis
  • Supports timely production of monthly forecasts of sales trends in coordination with business analysts; supports production planning
  • Monitors actual and forecasted cost and revenues (on a agreed basis)
  • Manages budgets, latest estimate and variance analysis
  • Leads long-term planning support activities
  • Analyses and prepares reports to the parent companies
  • Oversees that all company data is collected, derived and consolidated data from all departments in order to produce reliable forecasting and plans
  • Leads FP&A projects locally and may participate in wider projects
  • Provides decision support to various stakeholders (BU’s, project teams, functions)
  • Responsible for supporting the ACCP continuous improvement agenda
  • Responsible for monitoring ACCP FP&A service levels and satisfaction to ensure that outputs meet the agreed expectations

  • Minimum Requirements
    • University Degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
    • 4+ years work in similar position/s in an international environment
    • Experience in accounting, budgeting and planning            
    • Excellent user of Office Programs as Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
    • Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication
  • Preferred Requirements
    • Studies specialized in finance (financial analysis, controlling, accounting)
    • Experience in various areas of finance and accounting
    • Working knowledge of IS systems (including demonstrated capability of Hyperion Pillar)
    • Basic knowledge of US GAAP
    • Fluency in multiple European languages
