Job Description
Amgen Bulgaria is currently looking for a Finance &SME Manager (this advert is only for external applications for temporary contract ) who will be an important member of the Country Leadership Team and EERT Finance Team, full time role.

Accountabilities to the Finance(SME) Director/Exec Finance Director and dotted line to Bulgaria GM – acts as “co-pilot” to local GM
•Leads, selects, trains and coaches staff with capability to perform required assignments in finance/SME/accounting etc.
•Assesses performance and identifies, retains and develops key talent
•Preparation of forecasts (incl. production planning), budgets and strategic plans and manages the reporting processes (analytical management) for finance & sales support and provides recommendations
•Leads SME (pricing, SFE, SIPs etc.) & linked in w/ supply & warehousing
•Provides leadership, advice/consultancy & financial/SME support
•Partners across departments/geographies, customers(HSP,..) & suppliers
•Ensures finance/accounting etc. activities are performed according to corporate & local instructions, applicable laws and business ethics
Responsibilities
Leads all the above across Bulgaria countries for commercial/R&D.
•Leads financial/business planning and decision making; ensures required financial analysis, "what if" models and scenarios are provided
•Communicates and provides direction to local managers about financial/SME trends and their implications. Provides recommendations
•Drives process and productivity agenda cross functionally and adherence to procurement processes and guidelines
•Supervises budgeting, forecasting (incl. production) and long range plans
•Ensure design and approval of pricing guidance and its execution cross country and managing pricing processes/tenders with customers
•Supervises preparation & analysis of internal corporate and external statutory reporting (accounting, financial, tax, etc..)
•Ensure adherence to Amgen procedures, external regulations & contracts
•Integrates and leads finance/accounting, SME and supply chain agenda within local and corporate goals. Participates in pan-European projects
•Co-ordinates/manages volume plans to supply/warehousing
•Leads accounting & financial compliance cross functionally ensuring highest ethics & compliance standards in a low CPI environment
•Manages financial/SME aspects of business development projects and local partnerships
•Coaches and mentors staff; ensures MAP process within department
•Represents the affiliate versus local authorities(legal, financial, tax, etc.)
Authority: acts as CFO of Amgen Bulgaria commercial & clinical ops
•Takes decisions and ensures all department activities are executed within company guidelines and priorities
•Resources/budgets; drives process improvements, efficiencies
•Innovation: leads initiatives to develop new approaches and guidelines
Outputs
•Financial/SME analysis for decision support; reporting and presentations
•Budget, forecasts, long range plans, COP etc. and presentations to HO
•Supply of products via production forecasts, supply management and managing supply chain(operations and logistics)
•Management reporting to management team and the different departments
•Trained, motivated and developed functional team; focus on team development
•Financial/tax/legal etc. reporting in compliance with statutory regulations and company policies;
•Legal representation of company versus authorities (tax, legal, fiscal etc.)
•Role model compliance culture and response to internal and external audits
Minimum Requirements
•Degree in Economics or Business Administration
•Experience of more than 8 years work in similar position in an international environment
•Experience in accounting, budgeting and planning
•Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication
•Strong working knowledge of Office Programs(e.g. Excel, PowerPoint..), Hyperion etc.
Preferred Requirements
•Studies specialized in finance (financial analysis, controlling, accounting, consolidating)
•MBA would be an advantage
•Experience in various areas of finance and accounting
•Experience of 3+ years in a Management position within an international finance department would be an asset
•Strong business knowledge (e.g. finance, industry, applicable legal and tax regulations, etc.)
•Basic know-how of applicable laws concerning business admin, taxes (esp. VAT), accounting and consolidation
•Experience with US GAAP, applicable accounting and consolidation
•Working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion planning and reporting
•Experience in leading a finance and administration department in an international/matrix environment
•Experience in sales operations support and business planning
