We are recruiting a Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. Corporate Finance and Reporting (Western Europe and Africa) are responsible for the books and records of 95 entities across 18 countries. The UK team based in Farnborough is looking for a Financial Accountant to support the Siemens Mobility business in the UK. You will be responsible for the management of accurate and timely month-end closing of the SAP system and providing accounting support to the business. This role requires fostering relationships with key business contacts to communicate and collaborate effectively. Key responsibilities: Ensure the accuracy of the financial data, including disclosure notes related to the group financial statements of Siemens Mobility UK. Complete timely month-end reporting in line with internal timetables. Clearing of system validations and checks to ensure accuracy of reported data. Responsible for making certain month-end journal postings and disclosure submissions. Work closely with key business contacts on accounting topics, such as clearance of GRIR and intercompany balances. Responsible for ICFR controls for the UK team. Review and clearance of Treasury payment alerts Preparation of statutory accounts, working closely with the UK Statutory Accounting and Reporting Manager, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the annual statutory reporting requirements. Drive the implementation of new digital tools for more efficient interpretation and communication of financial data. What do I need to qualify for the role? Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent Strong working knowledge of IFRS and ICFR requirements Good knowledge of SAP Experience of statutory accounts preparation Experience working in a continuously changing environment Intercultural sensitivity, strong ownership approach, and excellent communication skills.
