Financial Analysis Senior Manager General Summary of the Job: This position leads and advises others on complex financial analyses on forecasts, budgets, cash flows, operating results, and business plans with minimal supervision to enable accurate information for management to make business decisions. Provides financial support and business partnering to key stakeholders in the business to ensure timely access to financial data and adherence to business processes. Essential Functions: Leads financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting activities. Forecasting and reporting are monthly processes, while budgeting is an annual process. Leads complex financial analysis regarding trends, financial structure, asset, cash and liabilities, etc. Monitors key performance indicators and business performance, performing key role in creating regular reports to management. Leads conversations with managers in the group you are supporting in understanding the financial impact of business decisions. Prepares journal entries and supports month-end cost monitoring and close process. Identifies opportunities for cost reductions and efficiencies and works to initiate and track the efforts. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and/or automation and leads projects to carry initiatives forward. Builds strong relationships within finance and other corporate functions. Works with senior level company executives and CFO on strategic planning initiatives and special projects. Establishes a strong a business partnership with the Business Unit SVP/EVP and department heads, enabling value-added contributions. Required Skills & Abilities: In-depth knowledge of finance and reporting practices, tools and procedures. Governs processes in one's area of responsibility, trains others to ensure correct execution, and provides expert advice for non-standard tasks and questions. Calculates and interprets financial and non-financial metrics within area of responsibility. Provides expert guidance to the business regarding optimization measures to improve financial metrics in alignment with the overall business strategy. Advanced understanding of accounting and external reporting concepts and terminology. Extensive experience in managing large intricate budgets. Understands complex financial interdependencies within the organization. Significant experience with the full spectrum of financial modeling. Provides financial expert advice for new business models (e.g. development of business case). In-depth knowledge of existing audit and control policies and practices. Complies with laws and regulations in one's own area of responsibility. Creates an environment of trust that fosters sharing and co-creation in a personal as well as in a virtual environment. Builds and effectively leverages internal networks beyond one's own organizational unit. Inspires and motivates others to contribute to common goals and to step out of comfort zones. Guides and advises others in analytical thinking and conceptual working. Able to effectively tell a narrative to senior management. Has an appreciation for interpersonal dynamics; able to read audience and adapt style. Confidently presents controversial and/or complex information to all levels of the organization. Has basic understanding of programming and low code languages. Able to lead project management on small/medium complexity acquisitions and integrations. Participates in due diligence report out independently. Develops a fundamental understanding of the application landscape and the interrelationships between the various financial modules and systems, including the data flow through the systems. Education and Experience Requirement: Bachelors in finance, accounting, or business required. Masters degree preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. 10+ years of relevant finance experience required. Hyperion, Essbase/Smartview, SAP and Business Objects experience a plus Location: Plano, TX (Dallas area) Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Siemens hybrid working environment with mix of normal office environment and working from home.
