Job Description
The incumbent will be assigned to work in Head Office Finance Division to support and manage the operations in one or more of the following financial and accounting functions:
1. Prepare budget planning, monitoring, financial projection and analysis.
2. Handle and coordinate financial accounting and operations.
3. Prepare regular / ad hoc financial and management reports to the Government, HA Board and management.
4. Assist the management of day to day operation of treasury, payroll, service costing, revenue and debt management, financial control and risk management, etc.
5. Perform data collection and information analysis.
6. Perform any other duties as assigned by his/her supervisors.

Entry Requirements:
1. Possession of professional accounting qualification of a recognized professional accounting body.
2. Proficiency in computing / PC skills, e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
3. Good command of written and spoken English.
4. Self-motivated, strong analytical ability and good interpersonal skills.

Preferred Attributes:
1. Good command of written and spoken Chinese.
2. Good communication and problem solving skills.

Remarks:
1. May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA and for staff development.
2. Applicants who are expected to graduate from a degree, preferably in Accounting or related disciplines from a local university, by 2019 may also apply. If selected, their appointment will be subjected to their having satisfied all the appointment requirements. Please attach the final year transcript in the online application. For 2019 graduates whose final year transcripts are not available at the time of application, please attach school examination results of all school years currently available for reference.

For Serving HA Staff
3. Selected candidates will be offered either contract or fixed appointment for 2 years depending on his / her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. Serving permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment with a reversion clause according to the prevailing policies.
4. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies.

For External Applicants
5. Appointment will be on contract terms for 2 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance.
6. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.
